MGIT Signs MoU with University of Hyderabad to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Hyderabad (UoH), Hyderabad, on 30 January 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The MoU aims to establish long-term cooperation in key areas including research and consultancy, skill development initiatives, access to advanced laboratories and infrastructure, utilization of incubation facilities, and the establishment of capability-building centers. This collaboration is expected to promote innovation, interdisciplinary research, and effective knowledge exchange, benefiting both faculty and students.

The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of distinguished dignitaries: Prof. B. J. Rao, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad; Prof. ChandraMohan Reddy, Principal, MGIT; Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar, UoH; Prof. Samar Sabat, Director, R&D, UoH; Dr. Jai Prakash Gautam, Dean, School of Engineering Sciences & Technology (SEST), UoH; Prof. V. V. S. S. Srikanth, SEST, UoH; Prof. G. Appa Rao, SEST, UoH; Ms. Shantha K. Nuthalapati, Head – Placements & Corporate Relations, MGIT; and Dr. P. V. S. Lakshminarayana, Assistant Training & Placement Officer, MGIT, and Alumnus of the University of Hyderabad.

This MoU reflects MGIT’s continued commitment to fostering strong academic partnerships with premier institutions and enhancing research-driven learning and innovation.
